God of War Ragnarok
God of War Ragnarok has some powerful items for players that pre-ordered, and this guide shows how they can be claimed.
Pre-order bonuses are a common incentive in games developed by AAA Studios. God of War Ragnarok is no exception to this trend. Pre-order rewards have varied over the years, but usually, they involve some sort of in-game item that players receive either while playing the game or before they’ve started it. Sometimes there have been different pre-order bonuses depending on where players pre-ordered the game.
Thankfully that is not the case for God of War Ragnarok and all the pre-order bonuses can be obtained by anyone regardless of if they pre-ordered a digital or physical edition. This guide will show players how they can claim their pre-order bonuses once they’ve redeemed the code.

How to Redeem Pre-Order Rewards
Even after God of War Ragnarok players have redeemed the code for their pre-order bonuses, they will not be able to get their hands on them right away. First players will need to complete the first chapter of the game. Once they have done this, players will soon have access to Brok and Sindri’s Shop. Before they depart, Brok informs Kratos and Atreus that he found some things they lost. Upon opening the chest, God of War Ragnarok players will get all the pre-order rewards that they were eligible for.

What Are the Pre-Order Bonuses?
No matter what edition that God of War Ragnarok players pre-ordered, they will all get a set of Risen Snow armor for Kratos and a Risen Snow tunic for Atreus. While all of Atreus’s armor sets are cosmetic, the armor for Kratos provides stats bonuses like Luck. This set of armor for Kratos can be upgraded as well.
Are There Any Exclusive Pre-Order Bonuses for Digital Deluxe Edition?
While they don’t count as pre-order rewards, the Digital Deluxe Edition of God of War Ragnarok does come with some extra in-game items. By pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition, players will get both the Risen Snow armor and the Digital Deluxe Edition exclusive Darkdale armor for Kratos and Atreus. Just like with the Risen Snow armor, Darkdale can be upgraded and provides a decent advantage for players at the start of the game.

On top of that, players who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition will also get an exclusive grip and handle for the Leviathan Axe and the Blades of Chaos respectively. Last, but not least, players who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition will get a digital mini artbook and the soundtrack for God of War Ragnarok.
Are There Any Exclusive Pre-Order Rewards for the Jotnar Edition?
For both the Jotnar and Collector’s Edition, there are no exclusive pre-order bonuses. Players who purchased the most expensive edition of the game will get the exclusive items from the Digital Deluxe Edition. There are no other digital exclusives that come with the Jotnar and Collector’s Edition of God of War Ragnarok that are unique to them.
God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
